On legacy Wolf dual fuel ranges with text error messages, such as the DF series, Stone or No Bake Stone means the oven does not recognize the bake stone element, or senses it when it is not plugged in. Owners see the message when they start a bake stone mode, and the mode will not run until the oven sees the element correctly.
1. Switch the oven off and wait for it to cool. 2. Remove the bake stone element and plug it in again firmly, or unplug it if you are not using it. 3. Wipe the plug area with a dry cloth. 4. Turn on the oven and try again. If the message stays with the stone removed, call us.
No. The message only matters when you want the bake stone mode. Remove it and use normal bake modes if you do not need it.
The connection may be reading a false signal because of wear or residue, or the oven side has a problem. We check the receptacle to see which.
Often it is not. Reseating it fixes many cases. If the oven still does not recognize it after a firm connection, we test the element and the oven side.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
