On Wolf CSO convection steam ovens, the Pour Away Descale or Pour Away Water prompt is part of the descaling routine, where you empty the tank at the right step. The same prompt can also show when the oven finds no water, the tank not seated, or the water inlet blocked. The owner sees the instruction and steam modes may be unavailable until the step is done.
1. If you are descaling, remove the tank, pour out the solution, rinse it, and refill with fresh water as the manual directs. 2. If not, check the tank is filled to the line. 3. Seat it fully until it clicks. 4. Close the door and run a short steam mode. 5. If the prompt repeats, call us.
Both are possible. During descaling it is a normal instruction to pour out the tank. Outside a descale cycle it can mean no water, an unseated tank, or a blocked inlet.
Hard Houston-area water builds scale faster, so descale when the oven prompts you and do not skip it. Using filtered water helps, but it does not replace the descale routine.
Refill with fresh water, seat the tank firmly, and try again. If it still appears, scale may be blocking the inlet, and we can clear it with a written price before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
