Wolf RT488 48-inch Rangetop Repair
This 48-inch RT488 is a counter-mounted legacy gas rangetop, and kitchens that have one tend to cook on it every day. Wolf made it 2002–2011, so a repair may involve a part we have to track down before the second visit.
With eight open burners and no extra grill or griddle section, the work comes down to how each burner lights, burns and shuts off. Moisture from steam and wipe-downs can reach the ignition area, so we dry and test it before deciding on parts. Because every burner carries its own electrode and micro-switch, we can often trace a problem to one position on the top.
We check the knob and valve action first, since a knob that spins freely tells us where to focus. Our repair is quoted in writing ahead of time and carries a 30-day workmanship warranty from the day we finish.
They share one top and one gas supply, so we check the whole top before we blame a single burner. The written price covers only what the inspection shows, and you approve it before we begin.
A wipe-down of the surface helps, but please leave burner parts as they are so we can see how they were sitting. We handle the detailed cleaning during the inspection.
Turn every control off, open windows, keep flames and switches away, and call your gas utility from outside. Once the odor is cleared, we can inspect the rangetop and give you a written price.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
