On Wolf SRT rangetop griddles, charbroilers, and French tops with a DSI board, the CFH light blinking slowly signals an ignition lockout, and flashing fast signals a safety lockout. The same board family appears on GR ranges such as the GR304 and GR484CG. The burner tried to light, failed, and the board stopped sending gas. Owners see the light blinking and the burner will not light.
1. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. 2. Turn the knob off and wait several minutes. 3. Make sure the burner is dry and clean. 4. Try lighting again once. If the CFH light blinks again, stop and call us. Do not keep retrying.
Slow means ignition lockout, after the burner failed to light. Fast means safety lockout. Both mean the board has stopped the gas, and both need the cause found.
Turn the knob off and wait a few minutes, then try once. If the light blinks again, resetting will not help and a visit is needed.
The lockout is a safety feature. If you smell gas, leave and call the gas utility from outside. Otherwise leave the burner off until we check it.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
