Wolf RT484F French Top Repair
The RT484F spans 48-inch of countertop, and in most kitchens it is built into an island or a perimeter run under a vent hood. Built in the 2002–2011 range of years, it is old enough that we check wiring and connectors on every visit.
Because the French top runs separately from the open burners, we test it on its own instead of assuming the whole top is affected. Low flame performance suffers first as parts age, so a burner that was fine on high may struggle at the lowest setting. With a micro-switch at each valve, a burner that keeps sparking can come from the switch side as easily as from the electrode.
Our starting point is the ignition circuit, since a clicking burner and a silent one lead to different parts. You get a written price before we begin, and our work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Some variation is expected at the edges, but obvious hot and cold areas are worth a visit. We check the burner, the way gas reaches it and the control, then give you a written price before any work.
Many burner repairs are finished on the spot, but we cannot promise it until we have inspected the unit. If a part must be ordered, we explain the plan and the written price first.
Regular cleaning of caps, burner heads and electrodes keeps ignition reliable. We can show you what to wipe and what to leave to us when we are at the unit.
