The 24-inch and 30-inch Wolf CSO convection steam ovens use E101 / F30 to flag that the oven has lost communication with the control board. The boards exchange instructions all the time, so when they stop agreeing the oven cannot carry out a cooking program. Typically the display shows the code, buttons stop working, and the cycle in progress ends.
1. Use the power key to shut the oven off and let it rest until it is cool to the touch. 2. Check that the breaker is fully on and not tripped half way. 3. Switch it off for one minute, then restore power. 4. Wait for the display to start up normally. 5. If the code comes back, call us and keep the panels closed.
We cannot tell from the display alone. The code names the communication link or board involved, and we test both ends of it before recommending a replacement. That protects you from buying a part you may not need.
An outage can upset the boards, so tell us if one happened before the code appeared. If the oven worked normally afterward, the problem may be elsewhere.
Many board repairs are done on the same visit if the part is on our truck. Otherwise, we order it and return, and the price is always agreed in writing first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
