On pre-2018 Wolf induction ranges such as the IR304TE/S/TH and IR365PE/S/PH, code 47 means a LIN communication error. LIN is the low-speed data link the control uses to talk to other parts of the induction system. The control stopped getting answers on that link, so the display shows 47 and some or all cooking zones may stop working. Jot down when 47 began and what you were doing, as that narrows our first checks.
1. Turn off every element. 2. Shut the range breaker off, pause a minute, and turn it on once more. 3. Check whether the cooktop wakes up and 47 is gone. 4. If 47 returns, stop and call us. Do not unplug connectors or open the range.
It is a LIN communication error. The control lost contact with another part of the induction system over its data link. The range then stops using the affected function.
It can, if the problem was a one-time glitch. If 47 returns after you restart, a connection or a module needs testing, which is work for a technician.
That depends on which link lost contact. Some owners lose a single zone, others lose several. Either way, tell us what you see and we will give a written price after diagnosis.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
