Wolf Legacy E Series wall ovens such as the DO30TE/S/TH display Error 07 x 17 when the right convection relay is open. The control calls for the right convection element, the relay does not close, and the element gets no power. Convection results are uneven, and the code stays on the display. Remember that x is the cavity digit, not a letter you will see on screen.
1. Select off, then give the oven a good cool-down period. 2. Try a regular bake instead of convection. 3. At the panel, shut off the oven breaker for 60 seconds, then restore it. 4. If Error 07 x 17 reappears, stop using the oven and book us.
It names the relay. The right-hand element reports separately through Error 03 x 4, so a technician reads both codes together for the full picture.
With only one side of the convection heating powered, the air in the cavity heats unevenly, which shows up on the food as hot and cool spots.
It is not a safety alert like a stuck relay, but ongoing use can strain the other circuits. We suggest booking a visit soon. That is why we measure first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
