E51 appears on Wolf 24-inch E Series wall ovens in the SO24 and SO2450 lines when the relay board is reported defective. As with the other relay board codes, the control found that it cannot reliably switch a load, so it halts the cycle. You may notice no preheat or a cycle that ends with E51 on screen. The code usually stays on the display even after the oven has cooled.
1. Let the oven cool and press Off. 2. Cut power at the breaker for a minute, then restore it. 3. Try a brief Bake as a check. 4. When E51 returns, stop and call us. Do not unscrew the back or sides, because the board connects to household power.
Each one marks a different check the control makes. E51 is one more of them, and all lead us to the same board. That is the reason we test rather than guess.
Sometimes. A loose connector can look like a failed board, so we check the connections first. It is cheaper to confirm than to replace parts at random.
We suggest waiting. A failing relay board may not switch heating correctly. We bring a written price for you to approve. You decide only after seeing the numbers.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
