Code 3A20 on Wolf M Series wall ovens, such as the SO3050TM/S/T, means the auxiliary bank has a wiring error. The control checks each group of heating loads, and it found a problem in the connections to the auxiliary bank. You will see 3A20 on the display, and some heating modes may be limited or skipped. The oven may start in one mode and refuse another, which is useful when describing the problem to us.
1. Switch the oven off and give it at least thirty minutes to cool. 2. Power the oven down at the breaker, pause for two minutes, and bring it back up. 3. Try a few different modes in turn and write down which ones still run. 4. Tell us that list when you call; we will take it from there.
It is one of the heating groups the control checks separately from the broil banks. The code says its wiring did not test correctly. We identify exactly which element group it feeds when we inspect the oven.
Usually only the modes that depend on that bank are affected. Others may still run. Because we cannot tell which from the display alone, we suggest testing a few modes and sharing the results.
We do not recommend it. Heating circuits are high current and sit behind panels in a hot area. A loose connection can be dangerous to handle and should be checked by a technician.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
