On Wolf CT electric cooktops (CTE and CTE-2), such as the CT30EU and CT36EU, E67 means the control found a reversed triac connection. A triac is the electronic switch for an element, and its wires are connected backward. This most often points to a wiring mistake after a repair. The display shows E67 and the affected element will not work correctly.
1. Turn all elements off and let the surface cool. 2. Turn the cooktop's circuit breaker off for 60 seconds, then reset it. 3. If the cooktop was serviced recently, tell us who and when. 4. Once E67 returns, stop and call us. Do not open it to look for loose wires.
It is much more common after parts were replaced or reconnected. If no one has worked on yours, we inspect the power module for other causes.
If wiring is the only cause, the fix is mostly labor, which we confirm on site. You then get the written price before we begin work.
If the connection is truly reversed, repeated tries can damage the power module. We suggest leaving the cooktop off until we check it and correct the wiring.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
