On Wolf CI induction cooktops with the touchscreen control, such as the CI30460T/S and CI36560C/B, E111 is a communication error with the TC, meaning the control cannot exchange data with that part of the cooktop. You will see E111 on the display and some or all zones may stay off. A loose link, a power disturbance, or a failing control can cause the break in communication.
1. Turn off all zones and remove cookware. 2. Let the cooktop sit with its breaker off for sixty seconds, then turn it on. 3. Wait for the display to start up and try one zone. 4. If E111 returns, leave the cooktop off and book us; link wiring and control boards are not safe for owners to handle.
The code refers to a part of the control called the TC. We do not need you to identify it; we test the link and the board to see where communication stops.
Sometimes a power cycle restores the link. If the code returns, the connection or a board is likely failing and needs professional repair. We bring the likely parts so a second trip is rarely needed.
A power disturbance can interrupt communication between control parts. A breaker reset is worth trying once, and if E111 is still there, we diagnose it.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
