On Wolf CT electric cooktops such as the CT30E/S and CT36EU, E11 comes with advice to reset power at the breaker, and no specific meaning is stated for it. On Wolf integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, such as the SM15TF/S steamer, E11 means the liquid boiled dry during cooking. The display shows E11, and the module or cooktop stops heating until the cause is dealt with.
1. Turn the cooktop off and let any steamer or fryer module cool. 2. On a module, refill with water or oil to the marked level before cooking again. 3. Pause the circuit at the breaker for a full minute and then re-energize it. 4. If E11 appears again, stop and call us.
Reset power at the breaker for one minute and try again. That is the step given for the CT platform. If E11 returns, a technician needs to find the cause.
Keep the water at or above the marked level and do not run the module on a long cycle without checking it. E11 means the liquid boiled dry during cooking.
Heat with no liquid can harm a heating module, which is why the control stops cooking. If E11 appears with plenty of liquid, we check the sensor.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
