On earlier Wolf CT induction cooktops, such as the CT30 and CT36 sizes, E43 reports an induction generator failure. This differs from its neighbors: E44 and E45 describe generator burner sensors reading open, with E44 pointing to the RL burner. With E43, the generator itself is the concern, so the burners it powers will not heat. The display shows E43 and part of the cooktop may be dead.
1. Turn all burners off and let the cooktop cool. 2. Switch the breaker off for one minute, then on. 3. Try the dead burners once. 4. If E43 returns, leave the cooktop off; do not open it. 5. Call us so we can check the generator and parts availability.
E43 is a generator failure. E44 and E45 are burner sensors reading open, with E44 pointing to the RL burner. Having someone home who can show us the problem makes the visit quicker.
A power disturbance can cause one. A breaker reset may clear it, but if E43 returns, the generator needs a proper test. We record what we measured so you can see exactly why a part was recommended.
We explain what failed, whether parts are available for your model, and the written price before we begin. When a reset helps only for a while, that pattern is itself useful information for us.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
