On Wolf integrated module cooktops from the new 2015 series, such as the CI152TF/S and TM15TF/S, the induction modules report E2 when the coil temperature is too high. The control shut the module down to protect it. The display shows E2 and the induction module stays off until it cools. Common reasons are heavy cooking, an empty or unsuitable pan, or restricted airflow around the module.
1. Turn the module off and remove the pan. 2. Allow at least 30 minutes for it to cool. 3. Make sure the air path around the cooktop is clear. 4. Restart using a flat, correctly sized pan with food or liquid in it. 5. If E2 shows on a cool module, call us.
The integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, which include induction CI and TM modules. Their model numbers look like CI152TF/S and TM15TF/S. Details like when the code appears help us narrow it down.
Usually about 30 minutes after switching the module off. If E2 comes back soon after, the cooling or sensor needs service. We explain the options before we pick one.
Yes. An empty or warped pan can heat the coil quickly and trip the code. Use a flat pan that sits on the zone and has food or liquid in it.
