E14 has three Wolf meanings. On CT electric cooktops such as the CT36E/S, it is a keyboard EEPROM error in the memory of the keyboard. On CI induction cooktops with the touchscreen, such as the CI36560T/S, it means the configuration is implausible, so the stored setup does not make sense for the hardware. On integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, such as the GM15TF/S, it means the communication link with the display is compromised.
1. Turn every element off. 2. Turn the breaker off, wait a minute, and turn it on again. 3. Wipe the display and make sure nothing rests on it. 4. If E14 returns, stop and call us with your model number; memory, setup, and display links all need technician tools.
The control compares its stored setup with the hardware it finds. When they cannot both be right, the CI touchscreen cooktops report E14 and refuse to run normally.
It can be a connection, a cable, or a board on the module cooktop. We test the link first so we replace only what has failed.
No. A memory or setup issue may be corrected without replacing the control, depending on the platform. We tell you the written price before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
