On the 2023-and-newer Wolf touchscreen CI induction cooktops, such as the CI30460T/S and CI36560C/B, E47 means the master board reports a power supply error. The internal supply that feeds the control electronics is not delivering what the master expects. The display shows E47 and the cooktop may stop responding or refuse to heat. Lights or screens on the cooktop may flicker.
1. Turn off all zones and let the glass cool. 2. Turn its circuit breaker off for one minute, then back on. 3. If other appliances on that circuit also misbehave, tell us, because the source may be the house wiring. 4. If the E47 code returns, stop and call us.
It can. Low or unstable voltage at the cooktop can trigger it, so we measure the supply at the cooktop during the visit, before blaming the control, to learn where the problem starts.
The display runs from the same supply that E47 reports on. Without a steady supply the control electronics cannot stay awake, so the screen may freeze or turn off.
A reset is worth one try. If the board is truly failing to supply power, E47 will return and the board needs a technician. Tell us if other appliances on that circuit act up.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
