Code 6730 on Wolf M Series wall ovens, such as the SO30TM/S/TH, points to the thermistor circuit that measures ambient temperature at the UIP, the user interface panel. Code 6830 reports the same circuit problem. The control cannot read a believable temperature there, so it may limit or stop oven operation while the number shows on the screen. It may clear once cool.
1. Switch the oven off and wait 30 minutes for it to cool. 2. Cut the oven's power at the breaker briefly and restore it. 3. Turn the oven on and watch whether 6730 returns right away or only after heating. 4. If it comes back, stop and call us. Do not open the control panel.
No. 6830 is listed with the same wording as 6730, a UIP ambient thermistor circuit error. We follow the same checks for either. It is a sensor reading error.
The panel electronics must stay within a safe temperature range. If the control cannot read that temperature, it protects itself by limiting operation. It is a sensor circuit.
It can appear right at power-up or after heating, depending on whether the sensor circuit is open or intermittent. Telling us when it appears helps our diagnosis.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
