On Wolf M Series wall ovens like the SO3050TM/S/T or DO3050PM/S/P, 5021 is an overtemperature alert for the upper cavity during a self-clean cycle. The lower cavity equivalent is 5022. The control has seen the cavity hotter than allowed while cleaning, so it ends the cycle and shows the number. The oven may stay locked while it cools, and it will not finish the cleaning.
1. Leave the door alone and let the oven cool until the lock releases. 2. Wipe out loose spills and heavy grease once it is cool. 3. Remove racks and foil from the cavity. 4. Flip the oven's breaker off for a minute, then on. Do not start another clean cycle if 5021 returns, and call us instead.
Upper. Code 5022 is the same alert for the lower cavity. Both only apply while the oven is running a self-clean cycle. Note which cavity showed it before calling so we plan the visit correctly.
The lock stays engaged until the cavity cools to a safe temperature after the alert. Wait for it to cool and the door should release on its own.
Often it still bakes, but we suggest holding off until it is checked, because the same sensor or relay that caused the clean-cycle alert can affect normal heating.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
