On Wolf L Series legacy wall ovens with the Invensys control, such as the SO30U/S and DO30U/S, RELAY CAL means relay phase calibration failed. In plain terms, the timing of a relay on the relay board did not line up. The relay board is replaced only if this message is noted four consecutive times in diagnostic mode, so one appearance is not enough to condemn it.
1. Turn the oven off at the breaker for one minute, then restore power. 2. Run a short bake and see if RELAY CAL shows again. 3. Note whether it happens at power-up or while heating. 4. If it keeps recurring, call us; diagnostic mode is a technician tool.
Not on the first appearance. The board is replaced only if the message is recorded four consecutive times in diagnostic mode. A technician runs that test.
It is a timing check where the oven confirms its relays switch at the right moment in the power cycle. RELAY CAL says that timing check failed.
If it still heats normally, use it lightly. If other relay or temperature messages join it, stop and call us so the board is checked.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
