On Wolf M Series wall ovens, including the SO3050TM/S/T, code 4631 means the control does not detect the upper left convection fan. It calls for the fan to run and sees no sign that the motor is responding. The display shows 4631, and convection modes may stop, run without airflow, or give uneven results. Regular Bake and Broil often keep working while convection is out.
1. Put the oven in Off and let it cool before you try anything. 2. Briefly remove power at the breaker, roughly two minutes, and restore it. 3. Start Convection Bake with the door closed and listen for the fan; a steady hum of moving air is normal. 4. If 4631 returns or the fan is silent, stop using convection modes and call us.
Standard Bake and Broil may still work because they do not need the fan. Convection modes depend on airflow, so we recommend skipping them until the fan has been tested.
Some owners hear a grinding or scraping noise before the code; others hear nothing at all. Tell us what you noticed, as it helps us decide whether the motor or a blade is the problem.
Not unless both are bad. Each fan is checked on its own. We replace only the part that tests bad and quote it in writing before starting.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
