Error 07 x 38 appears on Wolf Legacy E Series wall ovens such as the SO30TE/S/TH and SO30CE/B/TH. The code reports an MDL circuitry error, and the x is the cavity digit. The control found a problem in the circuit that drives the MDL, which is checked separately from the relay shorted or open codes. The display shows the code and the oven may stop the related function.
1. Press OFF and let the oven cool down. 2. Close the door fully and check that nothing blocks it. 3. Turn the breaker off for one minute, then back on. 4. Run a short bake and see if Error 07 x 38 returns. 5. If it does, leave the oven off and call us. Do not remove panels or probe the wiring.
It is an MDL circuitry error on Legacy E Series wall ovens. The x stands for the cavity. It is separate from the MDL relay shorted code, which is Error 07 x 5.
It may, or it may lock out the function tied to the MDL circuit. Because the control is reporting its own circuitry, we recommend stopping use until it is checked.
