On Wolf gas rangetops and ranges with a DSI board, such as the SRT304 and SRT484CG, there is no display code when a surface burner clicks but does not light, or does not ignite at all. The same board family runs GR ranges like the GR366 and newer DF griddle, charbroiler, and French top. The usual causes are a dirty or wet ignitor, a misseated burner cap, a power problem, or air in the gas line.
1. If you smell gas, leave the house at once and call the gas utility from outside. 2. Otherwise turn all knobs off. 3. Let the burner dry, then wipe the ignitor and burner head. 4. Seat the burner cap flat. 5. Check the range has power. 6. Try again. If the clicking continues without flame, call us.
The spark is firing, but something stops the gas from catching. Moisture, food residue, a loose burner cap, or air in the gas line are typical reasons.
If you smell gas, do not try again. Leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. Without a gas smell, a few tries after cleaning are fine, then stop.
Gas burners on this board family show no display code. The clicking itself is the message, so we check the burner, ignitor, and power at the visit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
