On legacy Wolf dual fuel ranges with text error messages, such as the DF series, OUT is not a breakdown. It appears during diagnostic mode as a probe test reminder, telling the person running the test to insert the temperature probe. Owners rarely see it unless the range was put into a test routine, by accident or by a technician.
1. Turn the oven off and wait a moment. 2. Switch the range off at the breaker for about two minutes and back on to leave diagnostic mode. 3. Check the oven returns to a normal clock display. 4. If OUT keeps appearing during normal use, call us. Keep the probe cord away from heating elements and hot surfaces.
Usually not. It is a prompt that appears in diagnostic mode asking for the probe to be inserted. It does not mean the oven has failed.
Often by pressing a particular key combination by accident. A power reset leaves the mode in most cases. If it keeps returning, we check the keypad for a stuck key.
Only if you are in the test and want to finish it. For normal cooking, exit the mode with a power reset and use the probe the usual way.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
