On Wolf WWD30 and WD30 warming drawers, code 70 means an open cable, which is lost communication between the relay and the control board. The control cannot talk to the relay that switches the element, so heating is not reliable. The owner sees 70 and the drawer may not warm at all. Other drawer features may also stop responding. Cups or plates inside will not stay warm.
1. Press Power On/Off and wait for the display to go dark. 2. Switch the drawer breaker off for a minute and back on. 3. Turn the drawer on again. 4. Do not open any panels or pull on cables. 5. If code 70 returns, stop using it and call us.
It is a break in the link between the relay and the control board. Without that link, the control cannot tell the relay when to heat.
A reset only helps if the link was briefly disturbed. If code 70 returns, a wire or connection needs repair. We check the cable and boards and give a written price first.
We do not advise it. With communication lost, heating may be uneven or absent. Move the food to another warmer and call us to book a visit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
