On Wolf WWD30 and WD30 warming drawers, code 60 reports a stuck relay. The drawer temperature climbs to 250F in any mode, because the relay keeps power on to the element. Notes say strong outdoor sun can trigger it. The owner sees 60 and the drawer may be hotter than its setting, which can be unsafe for food and the cabinet.
1. First press Power On/Off to stop heating. 2. Switch off the drawer breaker and leave it off. 3. Let the drawer cool, then carefully remove any food. 4. If direct sun hits the unit, shade it and try again later. 5. If code 60 returns, keep the breaker off and call us.
With a stuck relay, power stays on to the element, so the temperature rises toward 250F regardless of mode. That is why we advise shutting off the breaker.
Notes say outdoor sun can trigger it. If sun hits the unit, shade it and watch for a repeat. If it returns in the shade, treat it as a relay problem.
Switch the breaker off until we inspect it. A drawer that keeps heating on its own is a risk to food and cabinets, and we quote the repair in writing first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
