Wolf WWD30 and WD30 warming drawers show code 30 when the thermistor reads shorted. The control sees a temperature below minus 30F from the sensor, which tells it the sensor circuit is shorted rather than the drawer being that cold. The owner sees 30 and the drawer will not warm correctly, since the control has lost a trustworthy reading. Food placed inside may cool instead of staying warm.
1. Shut the drawer down with Power On/Off. 2. Let it rest for 15 minutes. 3. Switch the drawer breaker off for a minute and restore it. 4. Try the drawer again. 5. If code 30 returns, stop using it and call us.
It does not really measure that cold. A shorted sensor looks like an extreme low reading to the control, so it raises code 30 on the display.
They are related but opposite. Code 20 is the sensor open, reading very high. Code 30 is the sensor shorted, reading very low. Both point to the sensor circuit, so the repair path is similar.
One breaker reset is fine to try. If code 30 returns, the sensor circuit needs a technician. We quote the price in writing before starting any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
