Wolf WWD30 and WD30 warming drawers show code 20 when the thermistor reads open. The control sees a temperature above 300F from the sensor, which usually means the sensor circuit is open rather than the drawer being that hot. The owner sees 20 and the drawer will not hold a proper warming temperature. Food placed inside will not stay at a steady warm temperature.
1. Start by pressing Power On/Off to switch the drawer off. 2. Let it sit for 15 minutes. 3. Switch the drawer breaker off for a minute and back on. 4. Turn it on again and check for code 20. 5. If it returns, stop using the drawer and call us.
Not likely. Code 20 means the thermistor reads open, which the control reports as a very high temperature. The sensor circuit is the usual suspect, so the drawer itself is rarely that hot.
We do not suggest it. With the sensor open the control cannot regulate temperature well. Turn the drawer off and move the food to another warmer until we visit.
That depends on our test. A loose connection and a failed sensor give the same code, so we check first and quote the repair in writing before starting.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
