Wolf RT482CF Charbroiler/French-Top Repair
The RT482CF is built into the counter instead of sitting on an oven, so it often shares its run with a vent hood above and cabinets below. Since it was built 2002–2006, we expect some wear at the igniters and valves and plan the visit around that.
The charbroiler and French top keeps its burner and control apart from the open burners, so a complaint there points us to that area first. A simmer that will not hold is usually a mix of port blockage and valve wear, and we look at both before replacing anything. The raised control panel puts the knobs forward of the counter line, and we check the switches behind it as well as the burners.
We start by watching each burner light, then shut the gas off at the valve before we take anything apart. Price first, in writing, and then the work, which we warrant for 30 days.
Grease and spills collect around that section more than anywhere else, so cleaning and burner inspection come first. If a worn part turns up, we show you and put the price in writing before replacing it.
All of them. A problem at one burner can hint at wear elsewhere on the top, so we run each burner through ignition and low flame before we finish. Only needed work goes on the written price.
Continuous clicking is rarely dangerous by itself, but it means the ignition is not settling. Turn the knob off and let us look; we quote any repair in writing before starting.
