If a Wolf CSO convection steam oven (24-inch or 30-inch series) shows E10 / F0, the oven is reporting a cooking space temperature problem: the PT (RTD) sensor or its wiring has too much resistance, a break, or a loose contact. The oven reads cooking space temperature through this sensor, and a break or loose contact makes the reading drop out entirely. Heating usually halts and the code shows, sometimes at the start of a cycle and sometimes partway through.
1. Switch the oven off and wait for it to cool down completely. 2. Wipe away any moisture inside the door area and let the cavity air out. 3. Turn off the circuit breaker for one minute and switch it back on so the electronics start fresh. 4. Try a short test cycle. If the code appears again, stop and call us instead of opening the oven.
It is a resistance temperature detector, the kind of sensor that changes resistance as it heats. The oven measures that resistance to know the cavity temperature. A break or loose contact makes the reading impossible.
On this oven the F0 label can appear together with the E-code. It describes the same sensing condition, so we treat them as one problem during diagnosis.
Possibly, but we do not recommend it. Without a trusted temperature reading, the oven cannot control heat safely or consistently, and steam cycles may stop without warning. Please wait for our inspection.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
