On Wolf convection steam ovens such as the CSO24TE/S/TH, CSO30TM/S/TH, CSO2450TE/S/T, and CSO3050TM/S/T, A1 (also shown as E16) means the maximum hold time was exceeded while the oven waited for input. The door was closed and the water tank filled, but nothing was started. Owners see A1 after leaving a mode idle, and the oven stops until they confirm. Turning the oven off and starting again normally clears it.
1. Turn the oven off. 2. Check that the water tank is seated and filled to the line. 3. Close the door fully. 4. Choose a mode, set a temperature, and press start without waiting too long. If A1 appears right away every time, call us.
Usually not. The oven waited too long for you to confirm a setting. Start again and it should run normally. Nothing needs repair in that case.
E16 and A1 refer to the same condition on these ovens: the hold time was exceeded while waiting for input. Different displays show it in different ways.
If A1 returns immediately after you press start, the controls may not be registering the input. Call us so we can check the panel. That would point to the keys.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
