What LO means

On legacy Wolf integrated modules such as the IF15/S fryer and IS15/S steamer, LO is a low-level warning. On the steamer it means there is no water: the element power is shut down, the unit beeps and the TEMPERATURE LED flashes. On the fryer it points to no oil, sediment, or an RTD error. Owners see LO and the module stops heating.

Common causes of LO

  • Steamer water reservoir empty or not seated
  • Fryer oil level too low
  • Sediment in the fryer oil affecting the level reading
  • Fryer RTD error
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Turn the module off and let it cool fully. 2. On the steamer, refill the water reservoir to the proper line and seat it firmly. 3. On the fryer, check oil level and strain out sediment once the oil is cold. 4. Restart. If LO returns with correct levels, call us. Never operate with LO showing.

! Why to stop there
  • Running dry can overheat the element, so LO should not be bypassed.
  • If levels are right and LO returns, the sensing circuit needs a real diagnosis.
  • The RTD is a sensor we can test properly.
  • The work we do is guaranteed for 30 days.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

LOLO questions
What does LO mean on my IS15 steamer?

There is no water. The element power shuts down, the unit beeps, and the TEMPERATURE LED flashes until the reservoir is refilled. We treat LO as the first lead, before any part gets ordered.

What does LO mean on the IF15 fryer?

It points to no oil, sediment, or an RTD error. Check the oil level and clean the oil first, then call us if LO continues.

Is it safe to keep cooking when LO appears?

No. The module shuts the element down for protection. Turn it off, let it cool, and correct the level before using it again. Your LO display is the clue we begin with, so there are no surprises on the bill.
