The Wolf vacuum seal drawer removes air from bags for storage, marinating and sous vide cooking with a steam oven. When the pump runs without sealing or the drawer stalls, we test it step by step.
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Wolf’s vacuum seal drawer installs in a wall stack or under the counter, often near a convection steam oven, and pairs with it for sous vide cooking. It seals food in bags to extend storage and can help with quick marinating.
Houston kitchens push plenty of moisture into this drawer. Humid air and liquid from marinades can reach the chamber, and a worn lid gasket or a pump that has pulled in liquid will slowly lose suction.
We start by checking the lid gasket, the seal bar and the chamber, then measure pump performance and test the control. If a part is needed, you receive a written price before we replace it, along with tips for keeping liquid away from the pump.

Make sure the bag opening lies flat across the seal bar and that the lid gasket is clean. Liquid at the mouth of the bag can also interfere. If seals still fail, we test the seal bar, gasket and pump pressure.
Many owners do, but liquid needs care. Chilling liquids first and leaving space at the top of the bag helps keep them out of the chamber. Liquid drawn into the pump is a common reason for repairs, so follow your owner's manual closely.
The slides and panel alignment are similar, but the inside is different. A vacuum seal drawer uses a pump, seal bar, lid gasket and control, so we test vacuum pressure and sealing heat rather than drawer temperature.
