Wolf OG42 Outdoor Grill Service
At 42 inches wide, the OG42 is the largest grill in this two-burner group and the one most often built into a full outdoor kitchen with a counter on both sides. Its infrared rotisserie burner is also the strongest of the three widths, rated at 16,000 Btu.
Greater width means more surface exposed to rain and grease, so we pay close attention to the burner tubes, the igniter wiring and the valve stems. A flame that lights late or burns unevenly often means the ports have partly closed. We clear and test those, check the gas pressure at the regulator, and then run the rotisserie to confirm the infrared burner and motor work together. If you smell gas, shut the supply off first. We write the price down before starting and back every repair for 30 days.
A weak spark, a damp igniter or a partly blocked burner port are common causes. We test the igniter and clean the burner, then confirm the flame stays steady across its length.
It is rated at 16,000 Btu, higher than the 14,000 Btu burner on the OG30 and OG36. That stronger burner needs a clear light path, so debris near it causes trouble sooner.
A cover helps keep moisture and insects out of the burners and igniter, though it does not stop normal wear. Regular cleaning of the ports also helps the flame stay even.
