On Wolf CI induction cooktops with the touchscreen control, such as the CI30460T/S and CI36560T/S, E112 is listed as a Lumio backlight error. It relates to the lighting behind the touch display rather than to heating. You may see E112 shown, with the display dim, uneven, or off, while the cooktop itself may still work. It is mainly a display problem that a technician can confirm.
1. Turn all zones off and wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth. 2. Use the breaker to remove power for one minute and then return it. 3. Look at the display in normal room light and see whether it comes back evenly. 4. If E112 stays, book us; display lighting cannot be repaired from above the glass.
The code points to the display backlight, not to heating. Still, a dim display makes it harder to see settings, so we suggest having it checked.
It is the name the code uses for the lit touch display on the induction control. E112 means the backlight there is not working as it should.
It is not a safety code on its own, but if you cannot read the display clearly, we recommend not cooking until the lighting is repaired.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
