Code 5522 shows on Wolf IRxx50 and Pro IRxx51 induction ranges, such as the IR36550/S/P and IR48751/S/P, and on DFxx50 dual fuel ranges, such as the DF48450CG/S/P. It reports a stalled secondary cooling fan. The second fan is not turning as it should, so the display shows 5522 and the range may reduce heat to stay cool. Jot down when 5522 began and what you were doing, as that narrows our first checks.
1. Turn the oven off and give it 30 minutes to cool. 2. Make sure nothing is stored against or blocking the range vents. 3. Let the breaker rest off for a minute, then restore it. 4. If 5522 comes back, call us instead of cooking on.
Code 5521 is the primary cooling fan, and 5522 is the secondary one. Both are stalled-fan messages, so the check is similar but the part is not.
Not immediately, but heat can build up when a fan stalls. We suggest stopping until it is checked. We would rather test than guess, and you only pay for what is needed.
Sometimes dust or a loose plug is all it is. We test first and tell you the price before replacing anything. We note your model and the exact display, which keeps the visit short and focused.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
