On Wolf CSO convection steam ovens, in the 24-inch and 30-inch CSO series, code E13 points to interference or a shorted heating and main relay, a temperature sensor or relay problem, a programming issue, or the maximum cooking space temperature being reached. Because the list includes a shorted relay and an over-limit temperature, we treat it seriously and the oven should not keep heating. The oven usually cuts the heating, shows the code, and may stay warm for a long time.
1. Turn the oven off and keep the door closed until it cools fully; do not open it while it is very hot. 2. Make sure nothing flammable is stored near it. 3. Flip the breaker off, count to sixty, and switch it on again so the electronics start fresh. 4. If the code returns, leave the breaker off and call us. Do not open any panel.
The code can describe a relay that is shorted or an over-limit temperature, so we advise turning the oven off and not using it until we inspect it. Keep the door closed while it cools.
The same code covers interference, a relay problem, a sensor problem, a programming issue, and reaching the maximum cooking temperature. Testing separates them, so we check each in order before replacing anything.
Switch the oven off, let it cool, and reset the breaker once. If it shows E13 again, leave the breaker off and book us. Never open the cabinet yourself.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
