On Wolf CSO convection steam ovens such as the CSO24 and CSO30 series, E66 lists a scaled-up boiler, a tripped thermal cutout, and microcontroller voltage on the sensor module that is too low. The oven stops steam and shows E66. Heavy scale makes the boiler overheat, which is what the thermal cutout guards against.
1. Turn the oven off and let it cool. 2. Empty and refill the water tank with fresh water. 3. Run the descale program with the proper solution if you have not recently. 4. Try a steam cycle. 5. If E66 returns, call us.
Follow the oven's descale prompt. Hard water builds scale faster, and scale is a listed cause of E66.
It is a protection that shuts heating off when the boiler gets too hot.
It may if scale was the cause. If E66 returns, we check the cutout and sensor module.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
