A Wolf speed oven pairs microwave power with convection heat in a compact built-in cavity, so a single unit can roast, bake and reheat. Problems can sit in either system, and we test both.
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Wolf’s speed oven fits in a wall stack, commonly above a wall oven or warming drawer, and works as a microwave, a convection oven, or both at once. That mix makes it handy in smaller kitchens and as a second oven in larger ones.
Because the speed oven runs both microwave and convection loads, its cooling fan works hard, and a hot Houston cabinet gives it little margin. Grease from fast roasting can collect around the fan and the microwave feed cover, and power interruptions can leave the controls stuck.
We begin by running each mode separately, then measure the magnetron circuit, elements, fan and door switches. You get our findings and a written price before the repair begins.

Both. It contains the magnetron and high-voltage parts of a microwave plus the elements, fan and sensor of a convection oven. We test each system on its own, then together in combination mode, to find which one is failing.
Browning comes from the convection element and fan. If either has weakened, microwave mode still works while combination and convection cooking fall short. We check element resistance and fan speed before recommending a part.
Avoid harsh oven cleaners, which can damage the cavity finish and the cover that protects the microwave feed. Use the cleaning method in your owner's manual and wipe spills soon after cooking so they don't bake on.
